Last week was a busy week here on RCN. On the weekend Joe Rowe and company through a great little event for us that brought in some much needed money to go towards our hosting costs. Our thanks go out to everyone who helped make Stay Connected a fun party! Special thanks to the DJs who donated their time for this cause and to HARDATTACK for selling some his records and donating the proceeds. Several of the sets were recorded and are available to download. We're also happy to announce that soon there will be RCN T-Shirts available through our friends at 613Massive. More details on those soon.  On my end, I spent the last week and a half doing a lot of things to improve the site both functionally and esthetically to give the site a more unified feel and improve the user experience. I was able to implement a bunch of features that have been requested since we first started up and I'm really happy to finally have them available.

Here's whats new and improved:

• DJ Mix section now lists 5 most recently added mixes and top 5 downloaded mixes.
• Upped the photo size limit to 5 megs each picture. Should fix up several issues with uploads.
• Forums can now host polls.
• Several new fields added to Event Listings to display the information in more organized way.
• Over 20 other small bug fixes, program improvements, formatting and colour changes.

There are still several more improvements on the way including a newly designed profile page but that won't be for a couple of weeks. I'm still trying to get a bunch of the small things done before starting a larger project.

So, as always, we hope you guys and girls are enjoying the site and you encourage more people to sign up. One thing you can tell people is that if they post pictures on here, other people don't have to login to see them!

On another note, we're currently working on organizing a 16+ fundraiser event for the near future. Trying to find a good date is getting hard because there are SO many events coming up. I guess the good news in there is that the rave scene is certainly not dead when the calendar is getting crowded like that. So, in the meantime, please keep those donations coming in! We are putting every penny we get right back into the site.
